Every slide commits
One swipe moves everything. Merge equal Bearers into the next rank, or send one into a Gloom — and if its rank falls short, you lose the Bearer and a Hearth with it.
The merge puzzle fights back
Oathslide is a merge puzzle with something on the other side of it. Slide to forge Sparks into stronger light. Strike the Gloom before their timers crack the board. Hold the Hearth while every slide you make advances the threat.
iPhone & iPad: the native app is coming to the App Store.
How it plays
Nine ranks of light, three species of Gloom, and ground that breaks. Everything below is read from the shipping build.
One swipe moves everything. Merge equal Bearers into the next rank, or send one into a Gloom — and if its rank falls short, you lose the Bearer and a Hearth with it.
Gloom tiles don't drift. They sit, they count down, and at zero they Fracture the cell beside them. Fractured ground does not come back on its own.
Every phase offers a choice of two. Stop the timers, seal the Fractures, forge a rank, or purge the board — then decide which one you're willing to lose.
Break it and it comes back with more health, a higher bar, and a sharper board. Rebuilding between Eclipses is the real game.
Easy gives you room to learn. Normal is the balanced tactical game. Hard starts under pressure and does not let up.
No ads. No energy. No in-app purchases. No cross-app tracking. The whole game works offline.
The nine relics
Two slots, and choosing while full discards the oldest. Spending a relic is a free action — it does not cost a slide.
| Relic | Effect |
|---|---|
| Ember | Raise one Bearer a rank. Clear the Fractures beside it. |
| Frost | Gloom timers stop for your next 5 slides. |
| Tide | Destroy the most urgent Gloom. Clear every Fracture. |
| Bulwark | Your next weak strike costs no Hearth. The Bearer is still lost. |
| Root | Stop the next 3 Fractures. |
| Prism | Your next merge scores 2×. |
| Dawnstrike | Destroy every Gloom. Deal 2 damage to the Eclipse. |
| Quell | Drop every Gloom one tier. Shadows vanish. The Eclipse takes 1 damage. |
| Aegis | Absorb the next 2 damage to the Hearth. |
The ladder
Bearers
Two Dawns meeting trigger Daybreak: every Fracture and every non-boss Gloom is swept from the board.
Gloom
Gloom is the family. A Shadow is a Gloom. The Eclipse is the one that comes back.
Taught on contact
There is no rules wall. The opener is two lines and a Play button; every new threat is named the first time it appears, in one sentence. Instructional text thins as you prove you already know — unless you ask for it to stay.

Free & private
Oathslide has no ads, no energy meters, no paywalls, and no in-app purchases of any kind. There is no third-party analytics or advertising SDK in the app.
The whole game is playable without signing in or connecting to anything. Progress lives on your device.
The native iOS app collects no product analytics unless you turn it on in Settings → Privacy, and turning it off clears what hasn't been sent. Read the details.
Only a qualifying run offers to sign the board, and only a nickname is published. Every entry is replay-verified, reportable, and blockable.
Settings → Online data → Delete my online data permanently removes that identity's scores, name, reports, and analytics events.
One-thumb swipes, optional direction buttons, responsive iPhone and iPad layouts, expressive haptics, and interrupted-run recovery.
VoiceOver labels on every critical state, Dynamic Type support, reduced-motion support, keyboard play on the web, and independent audio and haptic switches.
Carry the light. Keep the oath.
No install, no account. The web build runs the same engine as the app.
